Seong received his B.S. degree in Biotechnology from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, an M.S. degree in Biochemistry from Konkuk University, Seoul, South Korea and a Ph.D. in Animal Physiology at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. He then spent seven years as a postdoc at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul and joined our lab as a research associate focusing on gene expression of neurons and genes and their receptors in the anterior pituitary involved in the stress response.

Hakeem Kadhim
Graduate Student, seeking a Ph. D, hjkadhim@uark.edu
Hakeem joined our lab as a Ph.D. candidate in the CEMB Program of UA. He obtained. His B.S. degree in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Baghdad, Iraq and an M.S. degree in Physiology and Histology, AL Nahrain University, Iraq. He is currently comparing the major genes and their receptors within the NHpC, PVN and pituitary gland following exposure of birds to particular stressors.

Michael Kidd Jr.
Graduate Student, seeking an M.S. degree, michaelk@uark.edu
Michael joined our lab and is pursuing an M.S. degree. He received his B.S. degree in Poultry Science with a minor in Agricultural Business from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He is currently targeting the NHpC utilizing electrolytic lesions to knockout the neural structure to determine how its loss affects the neuroendocrine stress response of birds.
